What can you expect?

This guided snowmobile tour takes you through the snowy winter landscape of Swedish Lapland. In total, we will be on the road by snowmobile for approx. 40 km of the route, stopping for a picnic after approx. 2/3 of the way.

In winter, when everything is covered in snow, you can only get through the deep forests of northern Sweden with sled dogs or by snowmobile.

We drive through snow-covered forests and, depending on the season, also over frozen lakes or rivers.

If you have never driven a snowmobile before, this will be a completely new driving experience for you. It's great fun, but you'll find that snowmobiling can be quite strenuous on the upper arms.

What is the program schedule?

Short briefing

Before you set off, you will receive a brief introduction to the snowmobile and what you need to watch out for while driving. Driving a snowmobile is basically not difficult. You just have to accelerate and brake.

We're going on tour

After the briefing, off we go. Mario drives ahead on the snowmobile and you follow him. At the beginning, we drive very slowly so that you can get used to the driving experience and the snowmobile. We will stop briefly at beautiful spots so that you can take photos of the enchanting winter landscape.

On the trail of native wild animals

There will be plenty of tracks of native wild animals in the snow, especially moose, and if we're lucky we might even see one.

After about 2/3 of the route, we have a small picnic by the campfire. We make ourselves comfortable on the reindeer falls and prepare burgers and sandwiches in the sandwich iron over the open fire. Depending on the weather, we can enjoy the magnificent view while we eat.

Return journey

Strengthened, we set off on the last stage and return to the starting point by snowmobile.

What requirements do I need to fulfill?

Minimum driving age: 18 years

To be allowed to drive a snowmobile yourself, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license for passenger cars.

Minimum age for children: 10 years

Children aged 10 can take part in the snowmobile tour. The tour is often a little too long for younger children. You also sit on the snowmobile for around 2 hours, which can be uncomfortable for younger children.

What clothing is needed?

Wear warm clothing that is suitable for the weather

Do not use cotton for socks and thermal underwear, as it does not protect you as well from the Arctic cold and you will freeze much faster in it.

If it is very cold, it is advisable to wear several thin layers.

A little more is better than too little. Clothing can also be stowed in the sled bag.

We recommend the following clothing:

Long thermal underwear made of wool

Thick woolen socks

Warm wool hat

A pair of thermal trousers

Thick winter gloves or mittens

Thick wool sweater or fleece sweater

A warm winter jacket

A thin buff or face protection made of wool

Face cream if necessary

Sunglasses if necessary

We can also provide you with the following clothing if required

Overtrousers suitable for polar conditions

Very warm down jacket in S, M and XL

Thick gloves for sledging

Thermal boots

We need the normal shoe and clothing size in advance. The outerwear is then one to two sizes larger than normal so that there is still enough room for additional layers underneath. At temperatures down to -30°C and colder, 3 to 4 layers are necessary to stay warm
